RESEARCH COMPUTING
Thin Client Technology Computer Labs
A Thin Client is a computer that runs from resources stored on a central server instead of a localized hard drive. Thin clients work by connecting remotely to a server-based computing environment where most applications, sensitive data, and memory, are stored.
Thin clients have several benefits, including:
- Increased security
- More efficient manageability
- Scalability
- Monitoring & Remote Support
Student Solutions and Enterprise Reporting
The IT @ITS Student Solutions and Enterprise Reportingunit focuses on engagement with customers in the academic operations of the University to understand their IT needs. Enterprise Reporting engages with campus partners to enable them to harness data to measure performance and predict future needs.
